LASU's First Female NUASA President, Precious Bankole, Graduates, Calls on Students to Embrace Opportunities

Lagos, Nigeria – Joy, pride, and celebration filled the atmosphere as Miss Precious Ayomikun Bankole, the first female President of the National Union of Accounting Students' Association (NUASA), Lagos State University (LASU), officially signed out, marking the successful completion of her academic journey.

The historic achievement not only signifies her graduation from the Department of Accounting but also celebrates her remarkable legacy as a trailblazer who broke barriers and inspired many students through exemplary leadership and service.

Speaking shortly after the sign-out ceremony, an elated Bankole expressed gratitude to God, her family, lecturers, friends, and colleagues who contributed to her success. She described her tenure as NUASA President as a rare privilege that enabled her to serve, learn, and positively impact the lives of fellow students.

"It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as the first female President of NUASA in Lagos State University. The journey was challenging but rewarding. I am grateful for every opportunity I received to contribute to the growth of the association and the welfare of students. Leadership taught me resilience, teamwork, sacrifice, and the importance of service," she said.

Reflecting on her undergraduate years, Bankole urged students currently pursuing their studies to remain focused, disciplined, and intentional about their future. According to her, opportunities are valuable stepping stones that can shape destinies and should never be taken for granted.

"No opportunity deserves to be missed. Every platform, every responsibility, and every challenge presents a chance to learn and grow. I encourage students to be serious with their academics, participate in meaningful activities, and prepare themselves for leadership roles whenever the opportunity comes adding  that what appears small today may become the foundation of a great future tomorrow," she advised.

She further encouraged young women to aspire to leadership positions, stressing that gender should never be a limitation to excellence or service noting that her emergence as the first female NUASA President demonstrates that dedication, competence, and determination can break long-standing barriers.

Members of the university community, friends, and well-wishers have continued to congratulate the graduate and former student leader, describing her as a diligent, intelligent, and visionary individual whose contributions have left a lasting mark on the association.
