 ICAN Inducts 1858 AATs, remains One of Nigeria’s Most Prestigious Institutions — LASU’s First Female Accounting President Declares at 63rd Induction

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) has once again been described as one of the most reputable and respected professional bodies in the country, maintaining its status as the gold standard for integrity, professionalism, and excellence in the financial sector.

This commendation came from Comrade Precious Bankole, the First Female President of the Accounting Department, Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, during the institute’s 63rd Induction Ceremony held at the ICAN Centre, Lakeview Estate, Lagos State.

Speaking at the event, Comrade Ayomikun, having passed ATS 1 to 3, praised the  ICAN for its consistency in upholding ethical values, building capacity, and producing highly skilled professionals who continue to make meaningful contributions to Nigeria’s economic and financial development.

According to her, “The accounting profession has long been the hallmark of societal development. ICAN’s commitment to ethical standards and professional excellence has ensured that the country continues to produce sound, disciplined, and globally competitive accountants across the nooks and crannies of Nigeria.”

Precious emphasized that the institution’s sustained relevance is rooted in its strict regulatory framework, continuous improvement of its curriculum, and dedication to grooming accountants who can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their counterparts anywhere in the world.

She encouraged accounting students to make ICAN enrollment a point of duty adding that this in doubt would prepare them for future tasks.
