We, the *Concerned Elite Citizens of Ebonyi State*, urgently raise alarm over a *planned criminal gathering* scheduled to hold from *August 7–10, 2025*, right here in *Abakaliki*, under the cover of a so-called “*NBM Convention*” At the center of this gathering is *Ese Kakor*, a well-documented fugitive, whose activities and violent cult-linked reign have been *publicly condemned across multiple Nigerian states*.

*WHO IS ESE KAKOR?*

Mr. Ese Kakor otherwise known as Olorogun is a fugitive and the leader of the dreaded *Black Axe Confraternity* with an extensive history of criminal associations and indicting reports linking him to:

• Political manipulation through cult influence

• Use of police intimidation against citizens

• A breakdown of unity and peace in Edo and Delta States

• Being declared *wanted by the Edo State Government*

*THE NEW THREAT TO EBONYI STATE*

This individual is now attempting to *stage a major gathering of his criminal loyalists in Remeritona Hotel and Suites, Abakaliki*. What is most worrisome is that he is being allegedly aided by:

• *Fidelis Nwifuru* – Brother to the Governor of Ebonyi State

• *Chika Nwangele* – Special Adviser to the Governor on Security

• *Dan Nwadu* – Director of Revenue Services

If this intelligence is correct, then these actors are knowingly *enabling a dangerous criminal enterprise* in our state. We call for an immediate investigation and *urgent executive* intervention from the Governor to halt this descent into lawlessness.

*WARNING TO HOTELS AND HOSPITALITY BUSINESSES*

Beyond Meritona Hotel, we have credible intelligence on *the list of sub-hotels already booked by attendees of this criminal gathering*, which we publish below *as public notice*:

1. *Monabliss Hotel* – 40 rooms

2. *Blossom Height* – 15 rooms

3. *Fiesta Hotel* – 11 rooms

4. *San Diego Hotel* – 50 rooms

5. *Franklin Hotel* – 25 rooms

6. *Menok Hotel* – 9 rooms

7. *Ryan Hotel* – 30 rooms

8. *Geneza Hotel* – 10 rooms

9. *Clevero Hotel* – 30 rooms

10. *Virginland Hotel* – 35 rooms

11. *Woodcrest Luxury & Suites* – 5 rooms

We hereby *warn all the listed hotels* and any other establishment that allows their premises to be used for this gathering: *you may be held liable if any crimes, violence, or cult activities occur during or after the event.*

This is not just a moral matter; it is a *national security concern*. Failure to heed this warning may lead to *closure, license suspension, or further scrutiny from national and international law enforcement bodies*.

We demand:

• *Surveillance and monitoring* of the listed venues

• *Prosecution of all enablers*, no matter their status

• *Clear directive from the Governor*, distancing the state from this act of sabotage
