Terrorists Abduct 3 Women, 7 Men In Nigeria’s Capital, Abuja

Islamic terrorists have reportedly abducted 10 residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The incident occurred in Bwaje community in the Abaji Area Council of the capital territory. Bwaje community is bordered by Kache village in the Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State.

The abductees comprise three housewives and seven male adults, according to our correspondent.

The village chief of Bwaje, Aliyu Aguma, who confirmed the latest kidnap incident, said the bandits invaded the community around midnight on Wednesday.

He said they shot sporadically into the air and raided some houses, where they kidnapped three women and seven male adults.

The victims were taken into the bush.

Aguma said the terrorists also burgled some shops and stole foodstuffs and other valuables, adding that the residents of the community were terrified by their gunshots.

It was reported that some communities that share boundaries with villages in Niger State have over the past few months been under attack, a situation that has forced some of the villagers to flee their homes.

Meanwhile, FCT Police Command has yet to confirm the incident as efforts to speak with the Command's spokesperson, DSP Adeh Josephine, were not successful. She did not answer her calls or reply to a text message sent to her to seek more clarification about the incident.
