Police Nab Man Using Charm To Defraud POS Operators
Anambra State Police Command has arrested one Chisom Nweke, 26, accused of using charms to defraud POS operators within Awka and its environs.
The suspect was arrested by operatives on September 15 at about 9am along Amawabia, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
A statement issued by the command’s spokesman, Ikenga Tochukwu, on Thursday, said the suspect had confessed to the crime.
He said that the preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects cut plain white papers in the size of money and gave them to POS operators for deposit.
Tochukwu said efforts were ongoing to arrest his other gang members.
