Ogun LGs get N3.39bn FAAC allocation for December


The 20 Local Government Areas in Ogun state have received a total of N3,398,399,625.97 from the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee for December.

The allocation included shares of statutory allocation, Value Added Tax and exchange gain.

The state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Afolabi Afuape, disclosed this on Wednesday at the December Joint Allocation Account Committee meeting held at Oba’s Complex, Abeokuta.

Afuape said the ingenuity of the local government chairmen and the support from the state government would go a long way in providing necessary infrastructures for people at the grassroots.

He said, “The present administration’s intention to be accountable to the people has informed the consistent JAAC meeting.

“The meeting involves all stakeholders (Nigeria Union of Teachers, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee, local government pensioners and traditional council, among others in the state.”.
